Pres. Jonathan And Kano Emir, Sanusi Finally Meet

The president played host to traditional rulers from the North to commemorate the Ramadan fasting period.

President Goodluck Jonathan has finally met with the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and now Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.

The two were present at the meeting held in the Presidential Villa in Abuja to break the Ramadan fast and the Emir was part of a delegation led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III.

They were previously at loggerheads with Sanusi suing the Federal Government after he was unceremoniously suspended from office and subsequently harassed by security officials.

This entire saga took a dramatic turn when the former CBN governor was crowned the new Emir of Kano after the death of predecessor, Ado Bayero.

Since then, Nigerians have eagerly awaited the meeting of the two heavyweights and now here they are shaking hands.
We wonder what’s going through their minds. Can you guess?
