Senior police officer brutalizes man for scratching his jeep

A police officer has been accused of brutalizing a citizen, causing him brain damage.

A victim of police brutality, Akhanolu Smart, is battling for his life after a senior police officer attached to the Ire-Akari Estate Police Station at Isolo, Lagos State, DSP Adeola Timothy Falowo, assaulted him for daring to 'scratch a policeman's jeep' while riding in a 'common tricycle' commonly called Keke Napep.

The victim who is reported to have had his brain affected as a result of the attack by the officer, is now confined to a hospital bed while his relatives are running helter-skelter to raise funds for a surgery on his damaged brain.

According to PM News, the victim's life is in danger and his fate uncertain as doctors confirmed that the attack affected his brain which caused total break down of his nervous system, and might not be able to work properly again after it was discovered that he had internal bleeding which led to partial stroke that has paralyzed him.

According to the newspaper:

"Smart was returning home from work via the Cele Express to Egbe-Ikotun. He boarded tricycle (Keke Napep) but on getting to Jakande Estate, he decided to disembark from the Keke because of a traffic jam.

The police officer, Falowo came down from Jeep and held him, mistaking him for Keke rider. He accused him of scratching his Pathfinder Jeep but Smart’s attempt to explain that he was a passenger not the rider fell on deaf ears.

And before Smart could explain further, he began to beat him before he then hit his head with an unknown object. Some unknown persons also joined him in battering is victim.

After he was battered, Falowo bundled Smart into the boot of his jeep and took to Ejigbo Police Division where he was detained and made to pay N65,000 before he was released.

He was eventually released the next day after they discovered that he was inflicted with serious injuries and his health deteriorating.

He said he contacted his relation who took him to different hospitals where he was rejected because his case had gone worse. He was later taken to a specialist at Benin in Edo State.

He said it was at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH that it was discovered that he had internal bleeding which caused total break down of his nervous system. He said he has since spent over N600,000 and he is yet to recover."

 

Son murders father for being too old

A young son has murdered his father because the man was tool old.

A man believed to be mentally challenged, has thrown the sleepy community of Uduku Ettam Okpitumo, in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi State, into total confusion as he allegedly murdered his aged father because he considered the man to be too old to continue living.

According to eye witnesses, the young man simply identified as John, is said to have killed his father, Ikor Itumo, then proceeded to behead him and took the lifeless body of his late father to Edukwu Unwu-essa playground in the area, as a mark of heroism for the entire community to see.

Sources report after news of John’s dastardly act went round the community, a search party led by youths in the area was immediately conducted leading to the discovery of the cutlass the suspect used.

The suspect was later apprehended by the youths and handed over to the police for interrogation into the circumstances that led to the death of the deceased.

Meanwhile the suspect who apparently doesn’t see the crime in what he did, reportedly said:

"

My father had become older than my late grandfather, therefore he deserved to be killed. He was no more useful to the society because of his old age."

Cases of rape keeps rearing its head every other day. When will it stop?

For his inability to put a hold to his sexual libido, a 20-year-old man, Godswill David, a native of Akwa Ibom State, has found himself in hot water after he was arrested for raping a 10-year-old primary 3 pupil in the Ikota Housing Estate, Lagos State.

The victim, according to Punch Newspaper, lived with her parents in the same house with David, which is owned by the girl's father, and he took advantage of being close to the family to perpetrate the crime.

It was gathered that David had sent the victim to fetch him a sachet of detergent and while she was searching for the detergent, the suspect followed her into the room and forcibly undressed and raped her.

While the act was on, the victim screamed for help, and the suspect’s stepmother rushed into the room and allegedly met David on top of the little girl, though she turned and locked the door without raising an alarm.

David allegedly threatened the victim that she would die if she told anyone what transpired between them.

Not satisfied with the rape, David tried to assault the girl again the next day when he found her sleeping ans she was said to have ran out and reported her ordeal to an aunt, who in turn narrated the incident to her parents.

The matter was reported at the police station, leading to David’s arrest. A police source reported that the girl was taken to a hospital where she went through some medical tests and the result showed that the hymen was no longer intact.

The matter was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, from where the suspect was arraigned on one count of unlawful defilement.

He was arraigned on before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate’s Court.

 

10-year-old boy thrown into river over witchcraft allegation

A 10-year-old boy, Usen Okon, has been branded a wizard and thrown into a river by his family members.

While the government of Akwa Ibom State is battling tooth and nail to nip the branding of children as witches in the bud, another of such cases has reared its ugly head when a 10-year-old boy, Usen Okon, was reportedly thrown into a river in Ikot Abasi local government area of the state, over witchcraft accusation.

Though the poor boy survived the ordeal, the pathetic thing is that the dastardly act was carried out by his family members who decided to kill the boy for bringing untold calamities into the family.

According to reports, a non-government organisation, the Humanist Association for Peace and Social Tolerance Advancement and its partner, Child’s Rights and Rehabilitation Network, has intervened and has taken the child into its custody and is taking care of him.

The Senior Project Manager of the organisation, Mr. Ayobami Ojedokun, narrates that Usen was under the care of his paternal aunt, identified simply as Ekaeyen, at Etebi community in the Esit Eket local government area of the state after the death of his parents.

"A few days ago, the boy was aroused from sleep by the aunt who took him to her husband and asked him to confess to being a wizard."

He added that when Okon denied the witchcraft accusation, his aunt threatened to throw him into a river.

And true to her words, the aunt and his uncle carried out the threat on November 16, 2014, tied the poor boy up and took him to the Imo River that runs across the community and threw him into the water with the hope that he would drown.

"She actually threw Okon into Imo River thinking that the boy would drown. The boy came out of the water alive and went to their home, only to be told that his aunt had relocated."

The Project Director of the NGO, Mr. Adeyemi Johnson, stated that his organisation has reunited 16 children to their families from January to November, and referred two children to Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Women Affairs, while also rescuing 17 children from January till date, with 15 children in its care at the centre.

Nigerian man sentenced to death for drug smuggling in Malaysia

After being found guilty of drug smuggling in 2012, Abuchi Ngwoke has been sentenced to death by a Malaysian High Court.

A 35-year old Nigerian man, Abuchi Ngwoke, has been sentenced to death for drug trafficking by a Malaysian Hight Court.

Abuchi Ngwoke was accosted at a Malaysian airport and arrested afterwards after being found with 251.66 grams of Mathapethamine. He swallowed gemstones in Nigeria before boarding a flight to the Southeast Asian country.

After being found guilty of drug trafficking, a Malaysian High Court judge said Abuchi Ngwoke’s attempt to smuggle drugs into the country by swallowing them was “absurd”.

Abuchi Ngwoke was today, Tuesday November 25, sentenced to death. A date has not been set for his execution.

US doctor suspended for having sex with patients

The doctor has been accused of abandoning a pregnant patient in labour to have sex with another patient. 

A United States gynaecologist, Dr. Christopher Driskill, is facing the sack after he allegedly left a woman in labour unattended to while having sex with another patient in New Mexico.

The 42-year-old Christopher Driskill who has already been suspended, has been accused of being drunk at work and sleeping with numerous patients and colleagues and now the New Mexico Medical Board is considering revoking his license. 

The board additionally found him to be drinking during work hours and when he was on call. 

It has also been discovered that Driskill has a “personal cache” of alcohol in his office at the Lea Regional Medical Center.

A suspension notice reads that he admitted several pregnant patients in labour to the Lea Regional Medical Center, but was not present for their deliveries as he was busy having “sexual relations with another patient,” the Albuquerque Journal reports.

Driskill faces 11 charges of misconduct just five months before he was supposed to become the president of the New Mexico Medical Society.

 

Man leads gang to rob sibling of N2.3m

Babayo Ali has shown that the best way to show love to a brother is to lead a robbery gang to attack the brother.

A 24-year-old man, Babayo Ali, is now in police custody for leading a gang of robbers to rob his elder brother of the sum of N2.3 million. Ali had conspired with three others, Nnamdi Ugwuona, Felix Igbeona and Babatunde Adebayo, to  the house of his blood brother, Ahmed Ali, and dispossessed him of the sum and other valuables. The incident occurred in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

According to the state Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), DSP Celetina Kalu, the suspects robbed the victim opposite the defunct Textile Mill in Asaba before escaping to their hideout.

She said:

Based on the incident, detectives swung into action and arrested the suspects.

"The architect of the crime and the insider that provided the information on the stolen money who is the victim's blood brother, is now in custody.”

Kalu added that the suspects had confessed to the crime and fingered one Dumebi Onwuegbuzia, who allegedly provided the locally made cut-to-size gun used during the operation.

"However, the said Dumebi, who was paid N30,000 after the robbery, has been on our wanted list and was arrested by operatives of the State Anti-Robbery Squad in Asaba."

The PPRO said that further investigations later revealed that Dumebi runs a Vikings confraternity and has initiated many boys into the dreaded cult group within Asaba metropolis.

4 arrested for killing of police officer

The four suspects were paraded before newsmen after they were arrested for the killing of a police officer in Ibadan. 

Four suspects, Surajudeen Dauda, Ojo Olawale, Lukman Raimi, and Adams Yinus, have been arrested by the Oyo State Police Command for the killing of a police officer in Agugu, Ibadan.

While parading the suspects on Monday, November 24, Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Olabisi Ilobanefor, told newsmen that on Thursday, September 4, the robbers shot and killed thepolice officer at his duty post before making away with his AK-47 rifle.

The suspects reportedly use the same rifle to rob a farm around the challenge area of Ibadan, injuring the Managing Director and seven customers on the premises and shooting one the victims fatally in the eye. 

They made away with with huge amounts of money and mobile phones during the robbery.

Ilobanefor told newsmen that the suspects have confessed and admitted that they carried out the alleged crimes and added that a Nissan Micra with number plate AKD 358 SM, one AK 47 rifle, one pump action rifle, one cut-to-size double-barrelled gun, a locally-made gun, a stainless raven arm pistol, two AK-47 magazines, charms, 14 live ammunition of AK-47 rifle, eight phones, axe, cutlass and marijuana were in the suspects’ possession when they were caught.

 

Naval officer arrested for stealing truck with N20M goods

Lawal Alli and his gang of armed robbers were apprehended after hijacking a truck with N20M worth of goods. 

A dismissed 28-year-old naval officer, Lawal Alli, who led five other gang members to allegedly hijack a truck with goods valued at N20m was recently apprehended by men of the Nigerian Police Force

According to a Punch report, suspect, Lawal Alli, and five others, hijacked a truck, driven by one Mr. Ganiyu Mustapha, who was conveying iron sheets and rods to Apapa. 

The truck marked, LSD782XB, was hijacked by the suspects around Navy Town, Kirikiri, Apapa, Lagos State on Friday, November 14.

Lawal Alli, Babagana Muhammed, Muhammed Yinusa, Bello Umaru, Muhammed Tasiru and Abdullahi Bundi, were allegedly driving through the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway when they were arrested by policemen attached to the Department of Operations, Lagos State Police around the Isheri-Berger area of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Speaking with Punch, the Borno State born Lawal Alli revealed that he was a naval officer before he was dismissed in 2010 for negligence of duty.

““One Alhaji Ibrahim introduced me to the business. He is a businessman in Lagos. The police are still searching for him. He gave us the information about the truck and goods. 

He told me to arrange and hijack it. I had my uniform on and so we successfully snatched the truck after initially deceiving the victims that we were security personnel,” Alli confessed according to Punch.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, while confirming the arrest, said the case has been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad.

EFCC drag 'Yahoo' boys to court for duping foreign nurse of N13.5m

Two Internet fraudsters have been docked for duping a foreign nurse of the sum of N13.5m.

It is the end of the road for two Internet fraudsters, popularly called 'Yahoo-Yahoo' boys, as they have been hounded to the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  for duping a Belgian nurse of the sum of €61,500, about N13.5m.

The suspects, Gabriel Osereme Xavi, who used the name Collins Page, and Aikhaituamen Best Junior Cyril, were arraigned before Justice E.F. Ikponmwen of the Edo State High Court sitting in Benin, on charges bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence.

According to a press statement by the anti-crime agency, Xavi was slammed with a 12-count charge while Aikhaituamen was docked on 6-count charge.

The statement reads thus:

The accused persons are alleged to have fleeced a 49 year-old Belgian nurse, Goryczka Janina, whom they met on Facebook, of the above, over some love scam.

The victim allegedly met one of the accused persons sometime in January, 2014, who introduced himself as 'Collins Page',  a Croatian Engineer resident in Wigan, England.

Within days of their meeting, 'Page' contacted her with the story that he was in Nigeria to supervise a road construction project in Edo State and that he was having difficulty with his credit card as it had been blocked for security reasons. He solicited Janina’s assistance for desperate cash.

Over the next few weeks, Janina kept sending him money until she had transferred a total of €61,500 through one Emmanuel Okoh  based in Cape Town, South Africa and Messrs Junior Best and Cyril Ojiemen.

When 'Mr. Page' pressurized her for more money, Janina confided in a friend who told her that she might have fallen into the hands of scammers.

In view of the plea of the accused persons, prosecuting counsel, G. K. Latono asked for a trial date and prayed the court to remand them in prison custody.

Justice Ikponmwen adjourned the case to December 8, 2014, for consideration of bail applications and ordered that the defendants be remanded in prison custody.

Man Arrested For Raping, Impregnating 13-Year-Old Daughter

It has been alleged that Benjamin Richard consistently raped his 13-year-old step daughter while her mum was away and got her pregnant.

A 35-year-old man, Benjamin Richard, has been arrested by the police after being accused of raping and impregnating his 13-year-old step-daughter, Blessing Chia in Abuja.

According to Vanguard, Blessing revealed that she was regularly beaten by her step dad before he started raping her. Blessing said she has been subjected to rape by her step dad several times but was scared of shouting or telling anyone. Blessing said her step dad raped her four times while her mum was away in Markudi, Benue State back in July.

The 13-year old however had enough and summoned the courage to report to her mum on Thursay, November 13. “I told him that I would tell my mummy and I dared to see if he would kill me. So l told my mummy,” the girl told Vanguard.

Confirming the girl’s story, the mother, a 30-year old Benue State indigene, Grace Richard, told the newspaper that when she returned from her trip, her daughter reported her husband to her. She however said when she confronted her husband with the allegations, he vehemently denied and threatened to beat her “black and blue” if she confronts him with such allegation again.

According to the report, Grace invited her elder sister who upon hearing the issue insisted that the matter be reported to the police. She was further advised to make Blessing undergo a virginity test before going to Nyanya Police Division to report the matter.

The virginity test did not only collaborate Blessing’s allegations, it was also discovered that she was pregnant.

The investigating police officer, IPO, in charge of the case, who according to Vanguard does not want to be named, confirmed that the 13-year-old Blessing was indeed pregnant and also revealed that the suspects is still in police custody.

Actress’ Cousin Reportedly Arrested For Rape

Prince Daniel Okereke with the aid of his security guards raped the victim several times before kicking her out of his house. 

A cousin of Nollywood actress, Stephanie Okereke has been reportedly arrested for raping a 300 Level female student of the University of Lagos. The student named Arionla alleged that Prince Daniel Okereke raped her at his Mende home on Thursday, November 6.

Arionla, 22, told Sun that she and Prince Daniel became friends after meeting through an online dating website.

“We became friends online and I gave him my number. He kept calling, requesting to see me in school and I kept giv­ing him one excuse or the other. He actually said that he wanted me to be his friend and I declined that I am a student and should be allowed to face my studies,” Arinola told Sun.
On that fateful day, Arionla said Prince Daniel called to inform her that he was in the school premises.

Arionla said she told Prince that she was sick and he volunteered to drive her to the pharmacy to get drugs, a gesture that got her impressed. After buying the drugs, they drove to a fast food joint to grab a meal, but Prince Daniel asked her to join him to a sit out joint where she could relax to eat her meal only to drive her to his house in Mende, Maryland.

According to what Arionla told Sun,  the suspect, Prince Daniel Okereke, lured her into his home and subdued her with the aid of his security guard before pouncing on her and raping her severely.

“When we got to his house, I told him that I was not interested in having sex with him, he called two of his security guards to help him to tie me up and seal my mouth. He then brought out his belt and started flogging me,” Arionla narrated to Sun.

After several rape sessions which lasted for more than 30 minutes, Arionla revealed that Prince Daniel ordered her to pick her bags and get out of the house. Angry and bitter about her ordeal, Arionla said she started destroying the properties in his house.
 
According to the report,  angry neighbours of Prince Daniel who were not aware of what led to her destroying properties in the compound including a car, called the police from the Area F, Ikeja who arrested her for assault.

With her statement to the police coupled with the bruises on her boy as evidence, a case of attempted rape was established and Prince Daniel was arrested but later released on bail while Arinola was admitted to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital.

Suspecting that the case might be swept under the carpet due to Prince Daniel's connections- he is also the cousin of former DG of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Ndi Okereke-Onyuike- Arinola and her family reported the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Panti who rearrested 
Prince Daniel Okereke.

According to the Sun report, 37-year old Prince Daniel Okereke has admitted to the crime and blamed the devil for the act.

“I am so ashamed of myself. We are family of professionals whom you know very well. I don’t know what got into my head. I am sorry and plead for forgive­ness,” Daniel pleaded.

Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Kenneth Nwosu, has confirmed the case and also revealed that the autopsy report from the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, established that there was an actual penetration in the course of the scuffle.

Prince Daniel alongside one his security men, Idris Abubakar, who aided him in the rape crime have also been arraigned before a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court. They were hit with a five count charge bordering on conspiracy, assault, rape and threat to life.

Magistrate Y. O Aje-Afunwa has adjourned the case till Friday, January, 9, 2015.

Disturbing Online Video Shows Housemaid Assaulting Toddler

The video of a woman mercilessly beating a toddler has sent shock waves online. 

A new disturbing video of a woman brutally assaulting a child has gone viral on the Internet.

In the video, the heartless woman can be seen slapping and punching a baby girl because she vomited a meal that was forceful fed by the woman.

After punching her, the woman can be seen afterwards picking up the toddler and throwing her on the floor. She can be seen hitting the baby with a hard object that looks like a torchlight and also violently kicking the baby girl on the floor.

Many online commenters have referred to the evil woman as a housemaid or something similar because it is unthinkable that a mother would do that to her own child.

Like several other videos that have made their way to the Internet, details of this incident are still unknown. Location and name f the woman involved has not been known as at the time of this report.

A video on Youtube that shows a man violently hitting a woman thought to be his wife, has gone viral on the internet.

This brutal assault reportedly happened in Brazil and in the video, the man is seen beating a woman- who can be heard screaming- with a chunk of wood.

The 35-seconds video posted on Youtube has sparked an online outrage as various people have called for an investigation to be launched to apprehend the deranged man.

Relevant authorities are reportedly working to identity the attacker so he can be arrested and brought to book.

Student Rapes Sheep To Relieve Exam Stress

The unnamed student told police that he had sex with the sheep to relieve himself of exam stress

A student has been arrested after it was discovered that he had sex with a sheep in Califonia, America.

The unnamed 23-year-old was caught having sex with the sheep after a fellow university student heard a bizarre sound coming from a barn on campus.  

The unidentified student, who was arrested and charged with sexual assault of an animal, told police that he did that because he was drunk while trying to relief himself from stress preparing for a forthcoming exam.

“It’s just kind of disgusting and revolting and personally makes me angry. I mean, why would you do that? It’s just kind of sick. It’s unnatural and the animals they can’t really, I mean they can’t defend themselves. 

They can to an extent but they’re innocent, you know what I mean? A student, Marisa Burkdoll, who works with animals on campus told television station, ABC7.

The sheep is currently being treated by vets.

Parents Strangle Daughter Because She Married Man She Loved

A daughter has been murdered by her parents in India for marrying the man she loves in what is called honour killing.

The parents of a 21-year-old third year Dehli University undergraduate, Bhawna Yadav, have admitted to strangling her to death in an honour killing, because she married a man they did not approve of.

Bhawna was pursing Sanskrit Honours at Sri Venkateswara College in South Campus. Her family hailed from Rajasthan, while Abhishek comes from a Punjabi family.

Police reports that Bhawna had married Abhishek Seth against the wishes of her parents and to preserve their honour, they had to kill her.

According to police, the parents have revealed that they knew about Bhawna’s relationship with Abhishek though marriage between them was unacceptable to them, but she went ahead to marry him, saying she was in love with him.

They said Bhawna had told them that she had snapped relations with Abhishek, but kept meeting him and went behind them to get married to Seth at an Arya Samaj temple. The hurried marriage was because Bhawna’s parents had found her an arranged match in their own community

For Bhawna’s parents, it was unacceptable that their daughter would marry someone outside their community.

A senior police officer of the south-west district told Mail Online that the victim’s father, Jagmohan Yadav and mother Savitri, divulged that Bhawna had always denied her relationship with Abhishek, despite being asked repeatedly.

Police said the victim’s parents initially tried to mislead the investigators, claiming that Bhawna died due to a snake bite.

But during interrogation, the parents confessed to the crime.

The parents were so confident that they were looking for a suitable boy. They had even asked their relatives to find a match for their daughter. But they were shocked when their daughter said she had already married Abhishek.

This infuriated them, and Bhawna’s mother wanted her to end the marriage. But Bhawna was adamant, which acted as a trigger. And the parents ended up killing their daughter.

Her mother disclosed they had told Bhawna that her marriage ceremony would be organised properly. But Bhawna went ahead with the marriage.

It was the mother that instigated the father to kill their daughter to restore honour and prestige to the family and she was actually the one who strangled her daughter  while her father held her feet as she struggled to free herself.

After killing Bhawna, they called up their relative Mahender and told him that their daughter had died of a snake bite. They asked Mahender to get his car to take her to a spiritual guru in their hometown, Alwar.

On their way, they told Mahender that Bhawna died because of poison. Later, other relatives were informed.

However, villagers in Alwar were suspicious. When they enquired, Bhawna’s father Jagmohan broke down and blamed Savitri for their daughter’s death.

After the cremation, Jagmohan narrated the whole incident to his elder brother, who in turn disclosed the matter to other relatives, including Bhawna’s cousin Sachin in Gurgaon.

A woman in Gokwe District of Zimbabwe, was forced to carry out her estranged late husband's bizarre wish, when she was forced to publicly have sex with his corpse inside the coffin before it was buried.

The woman, identified as Sarah Simirayi of Svisvi, left her husband about two years ago for another man who worked as a truck driver and recently moved back to her hometown after her boyfriend left her for a new lover. Sadly, her estranged husband, who was 68 years old, died a few weeks after she returned.

The late husband, Nunurayi Musamo, left a note and asked it be read at his funeral. The letter contained a message to his former wife, saying that he died from a broken heart by missing her, and asked that she make love to him before he is buried.

At first, Sarah tried to resist, but after lots of pressure from his family and friends, she later accepted the difficult task.

A close relative said that after they opened the coffin, Sarah took off her underwear before going on top of his body and had sex.
Relatives claimed that the dead man was able to perform, calling it 'angel lust.'

Senate President, David Mark ‘Slapped’ In National Assembly

Three female police officers in Edo have faced the ultimate disgrace after they were stripped naked by residents of the Oregbeni Quarters in the Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of the state.

“When the police came to make arrest, they started fighting the police. I ran for my life and hid in the other compound,” the landlady said.

Okebuse had invited the police to evict the woman and an eyewitness said that the landlady was fond of harassing her tenants.

“The woman was taking her bath and the police officers refused to allow the woman to take her bath,” the witness said.

The incident has been confirmed by the State Police Commissioner, Foluso Adebanjo who said that the attackers would be brought to justice.

A Mexican man, Mario Alberto Lizalde Reyes, killed his friend and cut off his penis to feed his dog.

 

A 25-year-old Mexican man, Mario Alberto Lizalde Reyes, is to spend the rest of his life behind bars for killing his best friend, Mario Hernandez Banda, 24. Not satisfied with merely murdering his pal, Reyes went ahead to cut off the penis of the dead man and feed it to his dog.

This much a court in Ciudad Juarez, in the north-central Mexican state of Chihuahua heard but Reyes gave reasons for his actions. 

He said he and Banda were drunk and walking Reyes’ dog when Banda tried to touch him ‘in a sexual way.’

Reyes said he then shot Banda and cut off his genitals, which he eventually gave to his dog.

Now as he is facing trial for his crimes, Mario Reyes  say he is so overcome with guilt and had to hand himself in to police as soon as he sobered up.

He explained the situation:

We were both drunk and he tried touching me in a sexual way.

After pushing him off, he went to urinate in an alley, so I followed him, pulled out my gun and shot him in the head.

I then took his knife off him and chopped off his penis as punishment and put it in a bag.

But my dog was next to me and was sniffing at it so I decided to give it to him and he ate it.

Leaving the bloody body slumped in the alley, Reyes then casually finished walking his dog before going home to sleep off the booze.

But the next day he felt so guilty about what he had done, he decided to turn himself in.

The police prosecutor recalls:

He came in covered in cuts and bruises, and said he had fought with his stepfather when he told him what he had done.

He then admitting killing his best friend and said that although his friend had tried sexually assaulting him, he was still a human being and didn't deserve to die.

Jilted Woman Leaves Two Kids To Burn To Death

A woman who could not take her fiance's treachery has been hit in a horrific manner as her two kids have been burnt to death.

A  woman who felt she could get back at a man who jilted her now has more regrets as her two children, aged four and two, lost their lives in a fire that gutted their apartment at Kabong area of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, while she was away trying to confront her lover for having another woman.

The kids, according to information, were said to have been locked in a room by their single mother whose name was given as Talatu, a local beer seller in the area, when she allegedly left them for an unknown destination on Sunday night and did not return until 2am the following day, only to find that her apartment had been gutted by fire said to have been ignited by a candle she lit in the room before going out. And painfully, her kids died in the raging inferno.

A neighbour said:

aTalatu abandoned the children in her room and went to confront her fiance, who had suddenly picked another lady to marry.

She lit a candle before leaving. But before she returned, the candle had burnt low and lit the mattress. The children got burnt without anyone knowing.

One of the children died in the inferno, while the other who was rushed to the hospital also gave up the ghost.

 

Couple In Jail For Murdering 4-Year-Old In US

Stephanie Sloop watched as her husband maltreated and tortured her son to death and even helped in concealing the murder. She has been sentenced to 20 years behind bars.

A couple in America has been sentenced to jail for the murder of their four year old son, Ethan Stacy.
Ethan died after being tortured and maltreated by his step-dad, Nathan Sloop, and his mum, Stephanie Sloop, was an accessory to it.

4-year-old Ethan Stacy was sent from Virginia to live with his biological mother, Stephanie Sloop, and her fiancé, 35-year-old Nathan Sloop, because of a family court order.

In just one week, Ethan was severely beaten, burnt and overmedicated. When Ethan died, the couple tried to conceal the crime by defacing the body. Ethan was buried in a shallow grave near Powder Mountain in Weber County.

When Nathan was declared missing, police investigations revealed that he was killed by his step father, Nathan Sloop, with his mother making no move to stop her husband.

Nathan Sloop was sentenced to life imprisonment back in February for the 2010 murder.

After series of trails, Stephanie Sloop, 31, was sentenced on Monday, November 17, to 20 years in jail for her son's death in 2010. Stephanie sobbed in court as she pleaded guilty to murdering her son after she did nothing to stop her husband from burning, starving and beating the child beyond recognition with a hammer.

Sloop failed to stop her husband and Ethan's stepfather, Nathan Sloop, from abusing her son and didn't call for help. Ethan died from medications, aspiration pneumonia and severe burns, likely caused from hot water in a tub. It is believed that the boy was forced to eat fecal matter by his stepfather.

Woman Arrested For Cutting Nephew's Penis in China

The woman was angry that her three year old nephew walked in on her in the toilet and used a knife to cut off the toddler's penis. 

A 37-year-old woman, Xue  Paan, has been arrested for cutting off the penis of her three year old nephew in the Henan Province in Central China.

Xue Paan was asked to look after her nephew, Qiang Qiang, but ended up mutilating him because the three year old walked in on her when she was using the toilet.

Xue was reportedly using her phone on the toilet when the toddler walked in and asked if he could play a game on the device. This angered her to take a knife to cut off his penis before fleeing the house.

The mother of the toddler who is also the sister to Xue Paan was away visiting a neighbour when this happened. After hearing the screams of her child, Cai Tuan rushed to the house to meet her son lying on the floor in a pool of his own blood, unconscious.

The toddler was rushed to the hospital in time for the surgeons to reattach the appendage, before transporting him to a specialist clinic in Beijing.

Following three surgeries in total, the doctors are now confident the young boy’s penis will work properly.

Xue Paan has been tracked and apprehended. She now faces five years in prison for the wicked attack.

Man Arrested For Raping Dog In US

James Michael Foran who is a registered sex offender has been arrested for another sex offense, this time for raping a dog. 

A 47-year-old man, James Michael Foran, has been arrested in America for raping a dog.

Michael who according to a police press release is a registered sex offender after he was convicted in 1997 of attempted aggravated sexual assault, has been charged to court for felony.

The owner of a female Labrador mix told the police that her dog was sexually assaulted in Wallace Pike in Virginia. 

This prompted an investigation which led to the arrest of James Michael Foran.

Detective, Jason Sexton, said that a DNA sample from the suspect matched the one obtained from the dog.

 The suspect was arrested and booked into Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Abingdon, where he is being held without bail.

In Virginia, crimes against nature is a Class 6 felony, which means that Foran faces a year in prison and a fine of up to $2,500.

A criminal who specializes in breaking into homes and raping women has been nabbed.

A 30-year-old serial rapist in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa State, Umar Mohammed, has told operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, that his criminal record include breaking into people’s homes to rape their wives and daughters.

Umar of Sakwaya village in Dutse Local Government Area, was arrested in action after he had gone on another raping spree but tried to escape when the woman he wanted to rape raised the alarm and he ran away into the waiting arms of the NSCDC operatives.

Commandant of the Corps in the state, Dr. Muhammad Gidado, who disclosed this while parading the man before the press in his office yesterday, said he had received several complaints about late night rape cases.

He told newsmen that the suspect had admitted to jumping through perimeter fencing to break into homes, not to steal, but to rape women.

The commandant said since the accused person confessed to the crime, it made their job easier, adding that the suspect would be arraigned in court on completion of investigation into the matter.

Police Officer Shoots Bus Driver Over N50 Bribe

A commercial bus driver who refused to offer a bribe to a police officer is battling for his life after the officer shot him in anger.

For daring to refuse tipping a police officer attached to the Federal Highway Patrol the paltry sum of N50, a commercial bus driver, Umaru Bayi, is battling for his life at the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan, after he was allegedly shot in the pelvic by the angry officer and left for dead.

The driver who was coming to Lagos from Jos, the Plateau State capital, according to passengers in the ill-fated vehicle, was accosted by the police patrol team with the number plate on their van NPF 6843, on duty along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway at around 1pm on Monday, November 11 and in the process of cross-checking the particulars of the vehicle, a brief argument ensued when it came to dropping the said bribe.

A witness reported the incident thus:

After stopping the bus, the unidentified policeman reportedly demanded a N50 bribe from the driver, but the driver said he only had N1,000 notes.

The driver had also asked his passengers to assist him with a N50 note to pay the bribe demanded, but none of the passengers had it.

 

Rapist Arraigned For Impregnating And Aborting For 16-Year-Old Virgin

A 36-year-old man, Sherif Afolabi who raped and impregnated a 16-year-old virgin is in the dock for procuring abortion for her.

 

The long arm of the law has caught up 36-year-old Sherif Afolabi, who allegedly raped a 16-year-old girl, got her pregnant and arranged for an abortion for her, as he has been dragged brought before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court, to stand trial for his crimes.

The judge, Mrs. O.I. Adelaja, heard that when Afolabi defiled the teenager in December, 2013, at the Ilogbo, Ajangbadi area of Lagos, she was a virgin but in the process, she got pregnant.

It was also learnt that due to threats of physically harming her, the young girl kept mum about the act, but became confused when she noticed that she was pregnant a few months later.

When she told Afolabi about the development, he allegedly arranged with a quack doctor and aborted the pregnancy.

The victim’s parents, it was gathered, reported the incident at the Ilemba-Hausa Police Division when the girl became unconscious due to the effect of the drug Afolabi gave her.

The accused was subsequently arrested and arraigned before the court on two counts bordering on rape and abortion.

The charges read:

That you, Sherif Afolabi, on December 2013, at the Ilogbo area of Ajangbadi, in the Apapa Magisterial District, did have unlawful sexual intercourse with a 16-year-old girl (name withheld) and defiled her virginity, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.

That you, sometime in 2014, at about 10 am, at the Ilogbo area of Ajangbadi, in the aforementioned magisterial district, did unlawfully procure abortion of an unborn child by terminating the pregnancy of a 16-year-old girl (name withheld), and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 234 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.

Afolabi, however, pleaded not guilty and was admitted to bail in the sum of N200,000 with a surety in like sum while the case was adjourned till December 1, 2014.

Police Dock Man For Rape, Abortion

The man was arrested after it was revealed that he raped and tried aborting the pregnancy of a 16-year-old girl.

Police in Lagos have arraigned a man, Sherif Afolabi, for raping a 16-year-old girl in Ilogbo, Ajangbadi suburb of Lagos.

Police during hearing at the Apapa Magistrate's Court said the 31-year-old defiled the girl who was a virgin at that time in December 2013.

The girl kept mute about the incident but noticed she had gotten pregnant months later. She informed Sherif Afolabi who allegedly gave her some drugs to terminate it.

The situation went out of hand when the girl became unconscious due to the effect the drugs. The parents of the girl reported the matter to the Ilemba-Hausa Police Division who arrested the man.

The defendant was subsequently arrested and arraigned before the Magistrate, Mrs. O.I. Adelaja, on two counts bordering on rape and abortion.

Man Faces Jail Term For Online Fraud

Okediji Kabiru has admitted to the court that he is guilty of defrauding some white women to the tune of $9,190 and is expected to be sentenced next month. 

An Internet defrauder, Okediji Kabiru who has pleaded guilty to online fraud, is set to be sentenced by a Lagos State High Court on Wednesday, December 10.

After arresting him at Abule Egba with various items used to perpetrate internet fraud, The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,  EFCC,  hit Kabiru with an 11- count-charge, which bordered on internet fraud and forgery. He was brought before Justice Lateef Lawal-Akapo of the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja for defrauding two white women of about $9,190 (N1.5m) under the pretext that he was going to marry them.

According to the EFCC, Kabiru, operating under false names such as Jack Loper and Patrick Dempster had , at various times obtained various amounts in US dollars from one Jozzet Helle, one Debra Williams and one Manual J. Silberge to the tune of the stolen sum. 

The court learnt that by claiming to be the ladies’ "fiancée", Kabiru had obtained the money from them under the pretext that the money represented payment for his wedding engagement to the women.

Some of the documents as listed in the charge numbered ID/234C/2014, included a Switzerland Regional Bid Registration Certificate, an entry visa into Nigeria with number 1055487 and a driving licence with number BDG70992AA4 registered under the name of one Emeka Johnson. 

The accused was also said to have presented the forged licence to Ecobank Plc in a bid to facilitate his obtaining money from the foreigners.

The court on Wednesday, November 12 admitted as exhibits the various items tendered by the EFCC, said to have been recovered from the accused person. The items includes a laptop, an internet modem, two mobile phones, a GTB ATM card, a Switzerland Regional  Bid Registration Certificate, an entry visa into Nigeria with number 1055487, the licence and a Bank of America cashier cheque.

The prosecution counsel, Mr. Babatunde Shonaike, also told the court that Kabiri has entered a plea bargain with the anti-graft commission and begged that he should be sentenced accordingly. 

Justice Lawal-Akapo has adjorned the case till Thursday, December 10.

10 Dead, 4 Injured In Blast

A female suicide bomber detonated an explosive at the entrance to the Federal College of Education library before she could reach her target.

The explosion which occurred in Kontagora, Niger State yesterday, November 12, has reportedly claimed 10 lives and left 4 people injured.

Eyewitnesses have said that at least 10 people lost their lives in the attack but the police spokesperson for the state, Ibrahim Gambari claims that only the bomber died.

He told AFP:

“An unidentified suicide bomber blew herself up before she could reach her target, which was the school library where many students were reading for their exams,”

Meanwhile the nation is still reeling from a bomb blast which claimed the lives of 48 students in Potiskum, Yobe state.

20-Year-Old Man In Prison For Raping Mentally Ill Woman

For 20-year-old Terzoo Ugoo, the next month in jail will teach him some lessons about raping of mentally deranged people.

For Terzoo Ugoo, a 20-year-old man in Makurdi, Benue State, his lust and lack of control of his libido, has landed him in jail, where he will remain till December 4, 2014, when final judgement will be decided on his case. Terzoo was dragged to a Makurdi Magistrate Court for allegedly raping a mentally ill woman.

According to the police prosecutor, Inspector Terzungwe Kajo, Ugoo carried out the act sometime in October at Abough Village, behind Makurdi Modern Market, knowing fully well that the woman was not of sound mind and could not have given him consent to sleep with her.

The prosecutor also informed the court that the case was reported at the B Department of the Benue State Police Command headquarters, Makurdi by the mother of the victim.

According to the Kajo, the accused person dragged his victim inside his room while she was passing and raped her. He added that he covered her mouth so she could not call for help.

Kajo told the court that the offence contravenes Section 284 of the Penal Code, Laws of Benue State, 2004.

The Magistrate, Mrs. Lillian Tsumba, ordered the accused remanded in prison custody and adjourned hearing to Dec. 4

Trader Kills Buyer During Price Negotiation

Mr. Ikonne and the deceased were arguing over the price of an air-conditioner which led to a scuffle that resulted to the death of buyer, Yaya. 

A business negotiation that usually ends with the satisfaction for both parties, has however left one dead and the other in prison.

This unfortunate sad tale befell a 26-year-old trader, Mr Lawrence Ikonne,  a trader on Afro Close, Afromedia Estate, Okokomaiko, Lagos who deals on electronic appliances and 22-year-old Isa Yaya who both got into a fight over disagreement in the price of an air-conditioner.

Punch reports that the pair met at the Alaba International Market, on Friday, October 19, where the trader Ikonne invited Yaya to his house for a business transaction. The business transaction was later learnt to be a fairly used air-conditioner.

When Yaya got to his house, the two went inside to carry the air-conditioner out and started arguing over the actual price. According to the Punch report, it was gathered that Yaya had insisted on paying the sum of N5,000 which was not well received by Ikonne.

As the argument continued, a scuffle ensued which led to the 26-year-old Ikonne carrying a plank and using it on Yaya which led to his death.

Mr. Lawrence Ikonne was thereafter arrested and told police during interrogation that had asked Yaya to either pay N5, 000 or assist him to return the commodity to where they brought it from but Yaya had refused. Ikonne added that he felt insulted by this attitude.

“When we got home, we both went in to remove the product, and we brought it outside for negotiation. As we continued, he said he would pay less than N5, 000. 

I replied that he should assist me to return it to where we took it from, but he refused. In the process, we started fighting. He even asked me to pay him for helping me bring it out. I was mad, and I hit his belly with a plank. When I realised he had fainted, I tied him with a rope and dragged him into a corner. I also fled the house,” Ikonne reportedly told the Police during interrogation.

26-year-old Ikonne who is from the Isiala-Ngwa South Local Government Area of Abia State, has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department, Yaba, and he would be charged to court soon.

 

Friends Mourn Young Lieutenant Killed By Boko Haram Militants

A young soldier who graduated from the Nigerian Defense Academy few months ago, has lost his life in the fight against Boko Haram.

Close friends of late  Lieutenant M Umar, who was killed in a battle to reclaim the commercial town of Mubi, Adamawa State, from the dreaded Boko Haram sect, have still to come to terms with how his young dreams were cut short in a battle for his fatherland.

According to a post put up on social media:

The young but gallant soldier had graduated from the Nigerian Defense Academy some few months ago and before he was posted to the war front of Mubi, he was so full of life and bubbling with zeal for his nation.

One of such dreams was to get married to his sweetheart sometime next year, but all the dreams have been cut short by a calllous set of misplaced militants who have been misled to think they are fighting a just fight.

Dismissed Policeman Impersonates Four CPs And Collect Salaries In 15 Units

A police officer who was dismissed from service years ago, Victor Banor, has baffled the police authorities on how he managed to impersonate four Commissioners of Police and in the process, collect salaries in 15 police formations totalling about N20 million.

That is the puzzle the Zone 2 Police Command in Lagos, is trying to solve in a case handled by a Federal High Court in Lagos.

The police equally alleged that Banor, who was serving at the Umunede Police Division in Delta State, was dismissed from the Force in 2011 for allegedly stealing an exhibit vehicle in a criminal case under investigation.

But while perpetrating his crimes, Banor allegedly forged office stamps of various Commissioners of Police of Anambra, Enugu, Lagos and Kogi States, with which he forged and signed fake documents which he altered and used to open 25 salary accounts for himself.

The Legal Officer of Zone 2 Command, Mr. Justin Enang, stated this in a counter-affidavit filed in opposition to Banor’s suit seeking declaration that his prolonged detention without trial was a violation of his rights.

Banor had joined as respondents in his suit, the Inspector General of Police, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Adeniji Adele, Lagos; and the Investigating Police Officer, DSP Solomon Igwe.

Opposing Banor’s prayers before Justice C.J. Aneke of the Federal High Court, Enang said it would only be in the interest of justice if the court would discountenance Banor’s application seeking to be freed.

While arguing that the likelihood of Banor absconding was high, Enang noted that the accused had failed to turn up until he was arrested in Onitsha, Anambra State on April 15, this year.

Enang said:

When he was arrested, he claimed to be a Chief Superintendent of Police, flashing a police warrant card and demanding to be shown respect as a “senior officer”.

Photocopies of forged police identity cards were found on him, with the names: “CSP” Afamefuna Banor V. and “W/SGT” Hannah Markson Banor, among others.

The police further found badges and insignia of a Deputy Commissioner of Police in his home. He absconded from the Enugu Command with a Police Berretta pistol loaded with eight rounds of ammunition.

Ongoing investigation has revealed a barrage of forgeries leading to monumental fraud by the applicant who opened more than 25 bank accounts using fictitious names with which he has been collecting and still collects monthly salaries from over 15 command payrolls across the country.

Releasing the applicant will jeopardise our investigation as he is still dribbling us over the service pistol in his possession, taking us on a wild-goose chase.

It will be in the interest of justice to refuse this application as many lives are still at risk since the applicant has refused to produce the police automatic weapon he absconded with.

The counter-affidavit deposed to by the third respondent, Igwe, read in part:

The applicant forged office stamps of various Commissioners of Police, including CP Awka, Enugu, Lagos and Kogi States with which he forged and signed fake documents which he uttered to the various banks to open salary accounts for himself.

If the applicant is released on bail, the prosecution of the charges will be at risk and he will not make himself available for trial as he will run away as usual.
