The 27-year old met his end after he was arrested trying to smuggle drugs into the country by hiding them inside women shoes.

the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 27-year old man named Mama Solomon after he tried to smuggle drugs into the country.

Mama Solomon who was on an Etihad Airline flight from Brazil to Nigeria was in possession of cocaine which was concealed inside female shoes he brought in from Brazil before he was arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA).

While parading the suspect before newsmen, the NDLEA Commander at MMIA Lagos, Hamza Umar, revealed that the cocaine was found in the luggage compartment of the Etihad Airline flight from Brazil to Nigeria.

Mama Solomon claimed to be a shoe merchant before further interrogations revealed that he had only used the shoes as a way of concealing cocaine. According to Hamza Umar, Mama Solomon had two bags containing female shoes and hand bags. The drug was discovered in the soles of the female shoes and he was immediately arrested.

The NDLEA spokesman also told newsmen that the suspect claimed that he was given the bag of shoes by some friends in Brazil who promised to pay handsomely if he completes the task.
