A soldier in Maiduguri, Borno State, has been arrested for killing a UNIIMAID graduate and making away with the young man's car.
A criminally minded soldier of the Nigerian Army, in Maiduguri, Borno State, has allegedly murdered a graduate of Physics from University of Maiduguri who gave him a ride and made away with the youth's car.
According to the Vanguard Newspaper,
the incident occurred after the military man flagged down the deceased
to give him a ride, but later shot him dead before reaching his point of
disembarkation and made away with the deceased car.
Speaking
to journalists in Maiduguri, the father of the deceased, Alhaji Konto
Sulum, said the soldier asked his son, Mohammed, to give him a lift so
he could reach his destination, but lamented that before reaching his
destination, the soldier shot him dead and ran away with his car.
