R. Kelly Forced To Cancel Major Performance Due To 2002 Child Pornography Charges

The music legend is been asked to step down from performing at the Fashion Meets Music Festival in Ohio because he once allegedly molested a minor!

R. Kelly has been forced to cancel his headlining performance at this year's Fashion Meets Music Festival in Ohio, billed to hold on August 29 because of his involvement in child pornography back in 2002.

Several protests by locals and even other artists performing at the festival are threatening to boycott the event if Kelly has anything to do with it.

Saintseneca and Damn The Witch Siren went as far as writing an open letter to the king of R&B stating they are ready to cancel as long as Kelly is performing too.

"We feel his selection as a performer ignores his very serious allegations of sexual violence and assault," Saintseneca wrote on the website.

Although the singer was acquitted on all charges of creating child pornography in 2002, some people obviously do not want to let it go!

The communications director of the festival, Melissa Dickson told reporters the show will go on but unfortunately, without their arranged headliner - R. Kelly, "Fashion Meets Music Festival and headlining artist R. Kelly have come to the mutual decision to cancel Kelly's upcoming performance at the inaugural Fashion Meets Music Festival."
