These days, women wear just anything in the name of
being fashionable or trendy but shopping for clothes made out of condoms
is way too fashionable for comfort... or not!
Fashion designer, Adriana Bertini
did everything right on the runway a she displayed her latest designs,
but when fashionistas found out they were made out of condoms, many jaws
dropped!
Bertini launched her
glitzy range of dresses made out of unused condoms at an international
Aids conference in Melbourne. The Brazillian designer is an activist and
her Condom Couture range has been spreading awareness of safe sex for a while now.
According to Radar,her workshops help spread
awareness by encouraging young people to get to grips with condoms in a
creative environment. Some of her designs have even made it to the
catwalk to spread the message as safe sex and female empowerment have
been central to her designs.
Despite this concept being brilliant, to an extent, would you wear a dress made out of condoms to fight HIV/AIDS?
