The former education minister was detained at the airport and almost missed her flight to the UK
The front runner of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign,
Obiageli Ezekwesili was detained this morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe
International Airport in Abuja.
Dr. Ezekwesili, who was on her way to London to appear on the BBC Hard Talk programme, disclosed details of the incident via her Twitter handle @obyezeks.
The former minister was prevented from boarding her flight and almost missed it due to her passport being seized by officers of the State Security Service (SSS).
She was eventually released and was able to make the flight.

Ezekwesili has been spearheading the movement to demand the rescue of
the over 200 schoolgirls who were kidnapped by Boko Haram in April.
