2 Men In Prison For Raping Widow

The two men allegedly broke into the widow’s house at 2am and took turns to rape her.

Two men Yaro Juham and Anthony Danjuma  have been remanded in prison by a Kaduna Chief Magistrate Court for raping a 32-year widow.

The culprits according to police took turns to rape the helpless widow (name withheld) while her 10-year son cried and pleaded to no avail. After they were arrested on Thursday, October 16, the suspects were charged to court by the state police command.

The State Police Public Relations Officer Aminu Lawan, told newsmen that the culprits went into the house of the widow at 2am of that day and forced themselves in. They asked the widow to bring out all her valuables and also took the sum N850 which was all the woman had.

"The first suspect, Yaro Juham, took his turn with the woman and when he finished, the second suspect, Anthony Danjuma, also raped her. The most pathetic aspect of the case is that the first suspect, Yaro Juham, is a distant relation of the widow's late husband. While the action was going on, the 10-year-old son of the widow started hitting them on the back, asking them to get off his mother, but they ignored the child," Aminu Lawan told newsmen.
